Accounts Executive — Society Billing

About the Role

In this role you will handle the accounting and financial operations for multiple client societies — from preparing monthly maintenance demand notices to maintaining ledgers, reconciling bank statements, and supporting annual audits. You will work closely with our Society Management Executives and report to the Finance Lead.

What You'll Do

• Prepare monthly maintenance demand notices and distribute to members
• Maintain individual member ledgers and track payment status
• Reconcile society bank statements against member payment records
• Record all income and expenditure entries in Tally
• Prepare monthly Income & Expenditure statements for managing committees
• Assist in preparation of annual budgets and audit schedules
• Follow up on maintenance arrears and prepare defaulter reports
• Ensure sinking fund, repair fund, and statutory funds are correctly maintained

What We're Looking For

• B.Com or equivalent; M.Com / CA Inter preferred
• 1–2 years of experience in accounting; society accounting experience is a strong plus
• Proficient in Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial records
• Basic understanding of cooperative housing society finances and statutory funds

Good to Have

• Prior experience preparing society annual accounts or working with a CA firm
• Familiarity with Maharashtra CHS audit requirements
• Knowledge of GST applicability to housing societies
